Abstract Michael Fleming Parker was a professor in the MFA Creative Writing program at UNCG from 1992-2019. He received his Bachelor of Arts from UNC Chapel Hill in 1984 and his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Virginia in 1988. Dr. Mark Smith-Soto is Professor Emeritus of Romance Languages (Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures) at UNCG Greensboro. Dr. Smith-Soto also served as editor/poetry editor of International Poetry Review from 1991 to 2022, and as director of the Center for Creative Writing in the Arts from 2005 to 2015.
